How can I protect my awstats folder?
Solution
You can place a .htaccess file in the cgi-bin root folder with the following:
Options +Indexes
<Files awstats.pl>
Order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from {YOUR EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS}
</Files>
